This photo shoot was inspired by mixing modern and vintage elements to create a classically romantic and timeless feel. The rustic dark wood furniture and soft color palette of the delicate floral arrangements were perfectly balanced against the gold accented decor. The models were styled in gowns that relish a former time period with modernized appeal. The bold, rich landscape and architectural backdrop enhanced the intrigue and flirtation of old and new to create a moment frozen in time.

Vintage Rentals USA offer unique and authentic vintage furniture and accessories sourced throughout the USA. They rent one-of-a-kind vintage furniture, vintage trailers, and classic vintage GMC farm trucks for parties and events. Our specialty rentals include tables, chairs, couches, backdrops, and much more. In this shoot we featuring a vintage settee and matching chairs, and domed vintage trunk with a high arch lid, inside the Montecito Event Center. The outside of the Montecito Event Center features the vintage hutch with the vintage desk. Great to display dessert and lieu of a dessert table.

The Wine: Sunstone Winery
Sunstone Winery provided the 2014 Chardonnay, SBC Chardonnay and the 2011 Merlot Reserve SYV.
2014 Chardonnay, SBC
Zesty lemon and crisp green apple evolve into tropical passion fruit, ripe mangos, pineapple and kiwi, that gracefully transition into a slightly sweet and buttery finish of honeydew, butterscotch, and toasty French oak vanillin.
2011 Merlot Reserve, SYV
A spicy and floral array of complex aromas from crushed red peppers, rose petals, thyme, black tea, dill and white pepper elongate into dried cranberries, dark cherries, dark plum, blackberries, and orange rind, followed by caramel, subtle smoked cedar and wet-hot stones. This Reserve quality Merlot slowly evolves after 20-minutes into an elegant, heady wine with a superb mouth feel of velvety tannins balanced by perfect acidity.
Cake: Christine Dahl Pastries
Christine Dahl opened her business in 1995 and quickly became renowned for her visually stunning and delicious wedding and special occasion cakes as well as her classic pastries. While she is best known for her wedding cakes, her classic pastries and special occasion cakes have graced many tables in the greater Santa Barbara area. Christine’s creations have been featured in numerous national magazines including Martha Stewart and Grace Ormonde Wedding Style. We are pleased to offer our Special Occasion Cakes for you birthday and anniversary celebrations.
In an era of mass production, Christine stands out as an old world craftsman creating marvels from fine ingredients. Toppings and fillings like lemon curd, chocolate mousse, buttercream are foils for her hand applied designs.
Cupcakes: Your Cake Baker
Your Cake Baker comes from a long tradition stretching back over 100 years when the Kjar family first started baking in Denmark. Wayne Kjar, owner of Your Cake Baker, is the son of the famous Santa Barbara cake baker, Mr. Henning Kjar. Your Cake Baker has been voted the Best Wedding Cakes in Santa Barbara for the last 3 years. We are extremely proud of this and look forward to providing Santa Barbara with wonderful and delicious cakes for many years to come. “Antique oil paintings of flowers. Oils take long periods of time to paint, artists often captured the life and death of a flower in one canvas. I imagine these artists thoughtfully painting the portrait over time as each petal fell to the table. I love the darkness and depth in these paintings, the arrangements are often perfectly wild and a bit undone.”
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY?
“My design philosophy is quirky and unconventional. I enjoy the rustic and the natural…. I enjoy being surprised and inspired by the landscape that surrounds me… I love that I will never see the same flower twice.”

The Wedding Dresses: Dolly Couture
Model, Erin Kiniry, outside is wearing the Rio: The Rio is Dolly Couture’s newest, most fabulous and eye catching gown. Rio’s sequins cover the bodice and taper down onto the billowy organza skirt. At Dolly Couture, we believe it is important for brides to SHIMMER in every way!
Model, Hayley O’Connor, outside is wearing the Summerville: Possibly the sweetest wedding dress that ever was. “Summerville,” made from billowy organza has arrived in Dolly Couture’s Pink Label Collection. This ruched sweetheart neckline can flatter a woman of any shape or size.
Model, Erin Kiniry, inside the Montecito Event Center is wearing the Melrose: This gown features a sweetheart neckline, princess seams and a trimmed lace illusion decollate. The entire gown shimmers with touches of sequined beading. Removable belt at waist featuring “Tyler Bow.” The Melrose features a low cut illusion back that has been a favorite of all who see this amazing piece on the runways. This gown rocks.
Model, Hayley O’Connor, inside the Montecito Event Center is wearing the Port William: This elegant gown features a lace bodice, satin embellishment at waist and a flowing organza skirt…everything for a classic bride. Gown features modest lace illusion neckline and functional buttons. Just another timeless classic from Dolly Couture.

The Hair: Carlyle Salon
The stylists that worked the shoot were KIm and Ashton. We are a full service salon and blow dry bar. The upstyles were inspired by the vintage theme. This is our speciality. We offer hair and makeup on location for many special occasions and events. Wen also offer cutting and color services. Our salon is known for our glamorous atmosphere as well as our top notch customer service. We have a talented team of 14 stylists, makeup artists, manicurists and esthetician.
The Make-Up: Shanie Crosbie
“I’m always excited and fueled by talented and creative people and to have the opportunity to work with other professionals, I feel that’s how I achieve my best work. Everyone involved with the project was local to the Santa Barbara area and was so great to work with. For the “Vintage Bridal Glamour Shoot” inspiration was in every detail. The gowns were beautifully delicate and had the “classic vintage” style about them, the pin curled hair and flowing waves. As the makeup artist I wanted to keep that overall feel with the makeup, clean and simple with the standard vintage classic, red lips. Vintage is all about classic lines and bold details and that’s how my makeup translated with this project, vintage never goes out of style! There was a collective harmonious vibe throughout the entire shoot and I think that shines through with what was captured by the creative team behind this beautiful shoot.”
